This six-year project supports a pre-professional program and enrichment activities that prepares teachers for new positions as library media specialists in high-need urban schools in New York State, with emphasis on New York City, Syracuse, Rochester, and Binghamton. Students in this program receive special workshops, fieldwork and internship experiences, and other activities addressing the needs of inner-city children.
